If there was to be a vote. This would probably be voted the most popular Sunday school song:

No doubt i loved this song... bending all the way down and coming up slowly and then finally LEAP up at the end!! Those were the good times :)

To more serious matters, most of us didn't understand the action songs we sang. Well we knew what the words meant literally, yes. But did we understand that reading you bible and praying were two fundamental things that the King required of us. Read your Bible, Pray everyday!!..  And "everyday" means without ceasing, all the time, incessantly, unremittingly, (insert another SAT word here), and if possible, without taking a one second break off prayer!!

There's no doubt that these two factors cause us to grow spiritually, and  I don't think i need to talk much about the need for you to practice them all the time. But Here's my concern, how many of us can say we read our bibles everyday, how many of us can point out that at least, just a mere 15 minutes of our everydays have been solely dedicated to prayer... How much growth have we  allowed ourselves to experience?

If there's one truth I've told, it's that I don't meet the criteria... I struggle to go through each day's Daily bread and I almost always run out of what to say to God when we speak. And here's my reason: It just isn't easy. It's pretty simple to blow your day on Facebook, but its very hard to read two chapters of the Gospels, very hard!

Luckily...more like blessedfully, (and this is why I love my King) he's made a way out for us. God doesn't expect us to try and do all this on our own. He knows we very well need help to pick our Bibles and definitely need grace to Pray without ceasing. So all we gotta do is ask, and just like he promises, we'll receive all the help we need: The motivation, the strength and then finally a deep love for his word and his presence that we'd want to spend every second in his Royalty...

But it doesn't work like magic. Us to God: "Please can you help me Read my bible and pray". God to Us: "OK". Then BAM!! were there... Nope.. We have our part to play. Sowing Laziness produces, growth.. in the negative direction; Leaves you open for the Devils use. But sowing our dedication to the word and to Prayer reaps desirable spiritual growth..

So why don't you get off the internet for a while. Give all the things that keep you busy and away form God a break, and delve into his word a bit. Search and discover how God is willing to help you draw closer to him and grow and then just have a heart to heart talk with God.... your King awaits....
